Hacettepe Technopolis is founded in 2003 as Turkey's one of the first technoparks. Hacettepe Technopolis is a research and business center where entrepreneurs produce high value-added, R&D-based, advanced technology products and services, transfer information and technology to each other and receive appropriate infrastructure in the highest quality.

With its 18 years of experience and the vision of producing new technologies, creating added value that will contribute to science and humanity, Hacettepe Technopolis aims to establish and grow companies that use or produce advanced technology by maximizing university-industry cooperation. Hacettepe Technopolis provides an environment and support to companies that will operate in the fields of innovative advanced technologies and software development to enable them to use their existing resources more efficiently or to create new resources.

With the partnership of Hacettepe University, Hacettepe Technopolis works with great effort and devotion to contribute to science and technology, to encourage domestic and national production, to support the R&D processes that will make our country known in the world, as well as to contribute to the commercialization of the products. It is located within the borders of Hacettepe University Beytepe Campus.

Hacettepe Technopolis consists of approximately 1 million m2 open area, 75000 m2 leasable R&D investment area, 277 companies from different sectors, more than 4000 employees in the field, 1293 completed, 530 projects in progress, pre-incubation and incubation centers, prototyping depot, and Technology Transfer Center (HT-TTM).

2 of 11 R&D buildings of the Hacettepe Technopolis are allocated to companies operating in the defense industry and aviation sectors. These buildings serve in the status of a specially sheltered zone where NATO and National Confidentiality projects are carried out. Public institutions such as the Information Technologies Authority and the Public Procurement Authority are also located in our region.

There are 277 companies in different sectors in Hacettepe Technopolis, which has a 100% occupancy rate as of 2021. In terms of distribution, the software and computer communication technologies occupy the first and second places, while the defense industry is in the third place, and the health, medical and pharmaceutical sectors follow them.
