Ranks in Turkish Higher Education

1. Preference Rankings of the Programs:
Hacettepe University has been consistently achieving outstanding success in the rankings of the Higher Education Institutions Exam preference for years. In 2022, 43% (33 programs) of our 77 undergraduate programs that accepted students with the Higher Education Institutions Examination were preferred in the first place among all universities in their field. 73% of our programs (56 programs) were chosen in the first two ranks among all universities in their field. All of our programs were among the top five choices in their fields.

* Scholarship and non-scholarship quotas are listed separately in foundation universities programs and are perceived as different programs. This affects the rankings. When the same program is considered from a scholarship and non-scholarship perspective, it comes out in different orders. In order to avoid this misconception, calculations were made by combining the scholarship and non-scholarship quotas of the program while creating the rankings.
** While determining the order of preference for the programs, the order of the programs taught in the same language has been taken into account. For example, when choosing the English Business Administration program, the order of preference of the Business Administration programs taught only in English was taken into account.

2. University Preferences of the First 2000 Students
According to the 2022 YKS results, the students in the top 2000 in four different score types preferred 81 different universities. Hacettepe University ranked third with 375 students.
